A lot of people do not know what is the acrylic fabric, so in the selection, it is easy to go into the wrong zone. So, do you know what acrylic is? What are its advantages and disadvantages?
What is acrylic fabric?
The name of acrylic fiber in our country is polyacrylonitrile fiber, and foreign acrylic fiber is called "orlon", "cashmere fiber". Polyacrylonitrile is a polymer material obtained from monomer acrylonitrile through radical polymerization. Polyacrylonitrile is generally a white powder with a density of 1.14 to 1.15g/cm. Under normal pressure, 220 to 300℃ will soften decomposition. In addition, acrylic fiber also known as "artificial wool", its textiles are widely used in clothing, decoration, industry and other fields.
Advantages of acrylic fabric:
1, the performance of acrylic fabric is very like wool, but the elasticity is much better than wool, in the case of elongation 20%, the resilience rate can remain at about 65%.
2, acrylic fiber resistance to the sun, that is, good sun-fast performance, if you put the acrylic fiber in the sun exposure, there will be no problem, very durable.
3, acrylic fabric in the heat preservation better than wool, acrylic fiber shape fluffy curl, feel very soft, so the heat preservation is better.
4, acrylic fabric products, generally are not afraid of acid invasion, acid resistance, oxidant resistance and general organic solvent performance is very good, but also very practical.
Disadvantages of acrylic fabric:
Acrylic fabric also has a certain defect, that is, poor alkali resistance, if you use alkaline cleaning supplies when washing will be noticed. At the same time, high temperature will also have a greater impact on the acrylic fiber fabric, in 190 to 230 degrees of high temperature, the acrylic fiber will appear softening phenomenon. In addition, acrylic fabric moisture absorption is also relatively poor.
